Bituminous Membrane Waterproofing / Torch-On Waterproofing
Bituminous / Torch-On Waterproofing Membranes
Commonly referred to as torch-on membranes, are manufactured from rubberized asphalt and modified plastomer or elastomer bitumen. Reinforced with a dual-carrier spun-bonded non-woven polyester filament stabilized with fiberglass.
Moreover certain systems incorporate specialized additives, and the upper surface is finished with a calibrated release material to prevent roll adhesion, with some variants offering anti-slip finishes.
The lower surface is typically laminated with a thermo-fusible film.
